An Evening Grosbeak….Finally!

IMG_3058

As I mentioned in a post a while back, Sue Rayano has had a couple of Evening Grosbeaks coming to her feeders for a couple of weeks now.  What I haven’t exactly mentioned is that I keep trying for them and missing.  Today, on my eighth try, I got to see one of them!  As I pulled up Pat was coming out to fill the feeders.  I asked if they were still seeing the Grosbeaks.  He said that I just missed them and Sue had him go right out to put more seed out in hopes they returned while I was there.  In just a couple of minutes, one of the birds flew in and began to eat.  Sue and Pat are always so hospitable!  I can’t thank them enough for always sharing what ever good birds they are getting through the years. Hopefully, the grosbeaks will continue to increase in number and they will be easily seen at their feeders as they have so many years in the past! They also had Purple Finches, American Goldfinches, Pine Siskin and Red-breasted Nuthatch!
