Little Blue Heron Wallkill NWR

Following up on an ebird report by Ken Witkowski, this morning, Linda Scrima found the immature LITTLE BLUE HERON at Liberty Loop Marsh viewing platform.  She got the word out and many people were able to come see the bird.  While I was there, it caught a frog and eventually ate it. It flew around quite a bit and was actually on the opposite side of the road in a tree on Liberty Lane when I left.  Karen Miller, Linda, Matt Zeitler and Scott Baldinger were all able to see the bird while I was there.  Thanks to all of them for giving me a heads up on the bird!
