Orange County Shorebirds – The Camel Farm

This afternoon Matt Zeitler found an array of shorebirds at the Camel Farm. The highlight of his find were two RED-NECKED PHALAROPE!! Great find Matt! Also present were six WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS, two Semipalmated Sandpipers, three Least Sandpipers (maybe more), one Spotted Sandpiper, one Killdeer and one Lesser Yellowlegs. This has been a great spring for shorebirds between our two counties! Lets hope that the expected thunderstorms over the next couple of days continue to add to our excitement! Karen Miller, Maria Loukerous, and Scott Baldinger were able to see the birds as well. Great birding!
