Trumpeter Swan Continues!

The Trumpeter Swan was closer to the Main Boat Launch this morning.

Sorry for the late post, a busy birding day. The Trumpeter Swan continues at the Bashakill as of early afternoon today. Lots of kayakers out, but as of last observation the bird has not been flushed again. The forecast is for southwest winds overnight, so migration should be good and more birds should come in tomorrow. That said, it could mean the Trumpeter will move out overnight. Lets hope it stays a bit longer. I had few other passerines today, so not much took place last night. One new year bird was a calling VIRGINIA RAIL on the Birch Trail this morning. Tomorrow should be a good day, see you out there!
