Little Blue Heron Portrait

Kate Hyden, a member of Sullivan County Audubon, contacted me to let me know how excited she was to hear we had a Little Blue Heron here in the county. This is one of Kate’s favorite birds and she had recently painted a portrait of one, in breeding plumage. She was willing to share it with us, so here it is, a beautiful rendition of this great bird. Thanks Kate!

Stunning painting! For all bird lovers, there is an excellent exhibit going on now at the OCCC gallery. Check out out 🙂

  2. Thanks Patty! I’d also like to mention that our own Paula Baldinger is an excellent artist and I believe she has paintings at the OCCC exhibit as well!

Thanks John! This will be in the Sullivan County Audubon Dinner Raffle on Oct. 14. My husband says my best bird paintings are always the one’s I’m giving away… so hopefully someone will win it and give it a good home.
