Great Egret in full breeding plumage off Haven Road.

Scott Baldinger and I birded the Bashakill this morning with some good results. Warblers included 2 Yellow-rummped and 4 Pine. Two female Red-breasted Mergansers at the Pine Boat Launch were a nice find. Duck numbers were down, but Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck and Wood Duck were plentiful enough. The highlight of the morning was our county FOS GREAT EGRET! Easily seen from Haven Road, the bird remained throughout the morning and was still present early this afternoon. Hopefully the storms expected overnight will bring us some more new birds in the morning.
