Arlene Borko and I birded the Bashakill today. Most of the birds remain the same as I have recently been reporting. Highlights continue to be Wilson’s Snipe, Green-winged Teal, Killdeer, Rusty Blackbirds, Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Pine Warblers and all the other usually expected species. A new influx of BLUE-WINGED TEAL came through today with a total of 15 seen. This is a high count for the season so far. Also new was my FOS BARN SWALLOW on Haven Road. Lets hope our next round of snow over the weekend puts some good birds down.
