Karen Miller and I birded the Bashakill this morning. It was cold with an increasing wind as the morning went by. There was quite a bit of bird activity, though we only tallied 22 species. Highlights were a GRAY CATBIRD along the boardwalk at the Nature Trail (my second Catbird in two days), A Swamp Sparrow with the Catbird and a couple of Purple Finches at the Orchard. The remainder of the birds were more or less expected at this time of year.
