Bashakill continues to please

This morning I birded with Karen Miller, Gordon and Lori Lam, Arlene Borko and Dick Hirschmann. We had a great day with many more FOS for us all. We had both Northern and Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellow, Black and White, BLACK-THROATED GREEN and CERULEAN WARBLERS. American Redstart, NORTHERN PARULA and Common Yellowthroat. We had both Warbling and Yellow-throated Vireo, Baltimore Oriole, Rose-breasted Grosbeak and SCARLET TANAGER. Ruby-crowned Kinglets were once again numerous. We spent quite a bit of time watching the pair of Cerulean Warblers when Lori spotted the nest they are already working on. We had the pleasure of meeting the Ward Family, just really getting started in birding, but really enthusiastic about it. Another great day of birding with really nice people!

Thank you again John for another fun, educational day at the Bash. The mated pair of Cerulean warblers building their nest was an extra special terrific end to a great morning of birding with you, Arlene and Karen. I hope to see some fledglings soon. Please keep us updated.

Sounds like I missed the nest building, but I left right after the Pileated Woodpecker hunt and find, so I’m not complaining. That’s another chapter for John’s next book! Excellent morning.
