There was an abundance of waterfowl viewable right from Haven Road this morning. 51 Common Mergansers, 34 Hooded Mergansers, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Bufflehead, Canada Geese, Mallards, Black Ducks and a single Mute Swan could all be seen. Many Sparrows, Swamp, Song and Savannah were present along the road. As usual, Bald Eagles were passing and harassing the waterfowl periodically. Hopefully conditions will continue to improve and waterfowl continue to increase for the Saturdays “Wonderful Waterfowl Walk” for spring migrants.

what a difference 12 hours makes. I went down yesterday late afternoon and there was only a few merganzers, ringnecks and canada geese when I was there. no sign of the eagles at that time either I did see a flock of grackles and redwings though The teal is a great shot!!!
