Sullivan County updates.

There have been no further sightings of the Long-eared Owl. We can only be grateful it graced us with its presence for the day. The Lapland Longspur continues today on Gabel Road in Delaware Township. It was in the same exact place as yesterday before being flushed by some fast moving trucks. It is still with the three Horned Larks. Nearby there was one Snow Bunting. As I was scoping out birds at the Rio and Mongaup Reservoir this morning, I ran into a woman who informed me a Snowy Owl was on the flats (no water currently) out from the Mongaup Eagle Blind. She said it took off and flew up the creek which leads to a reservoir. I looked around the area pretty well and didn’t see it, but it could still be around.
