Connecticut Fork-tailed Flycatcher

This morning I headed to Connecticut to try for a FORK-TAILED FLYCATCHER that was reported as “currently being seen”. I took the two and a half hour ride to be rewarded with fabulous views of the bird. This is only my second FTFC ever. This adult bird is in beautiful plumage. I was able to get many photos of the bird, I’ve attached a few. Back in Sullivan County, the Snowy Owl (now being referred to as “Joni”) continues to put on a great show. I was particularly pleased the Bob, Maura and Truth Muller got to see her this afternoon. While all this is going on, we received word and confirmation that there is a third Snowy Owl in Sullivan County. A great start to the month.
