Bashakill and Black Dirt – another good morning

This morning I birded the Bashakill with Mary. We first hit the Orchard and then the Nature Trail. We had some nice birds. At the Orchard the bird of the day was a beautiful fall male Bay-breasted Warbler. Activity was down slightly from yesterday, but there were still many birds around. At the Nature Trail we had a Tennessee Warbler. We had a total of 10 wood warblers for the morning. At the black dirt area I had 104 American Golden Plovers at the Turf Nursery and some Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. I checked most of the other locations with nothing really present. A mixed species flock of shore birds on Turtle Bay Road were to distant to identify.
