This morning I found that more birds had come in to Morningside. Though there were a number of new individuals, I found no new species. The highlight of the morning was 9 fresh fall juvenile Least Sandpipers. I have had a couple of these birds, but this morning was a high count so far this fall. Note the fresh vibrant plumage of these juvenile birds as compared with the worn adult I posted a couple of weeks ago. I had a total of 24 Least, 1 Semipalmated and 1 Spotted Sandpiper, and 3 Killdeer.
