Feathered Frenzy day two

Unable to give up on our quest for new birds, Arlene Borko and I put in time on a modest day two of the bird count. We only spent three and a half hours today and focused our efforts only in the valley. Still we managed a reasonable 36 species and added two species to the count. Great Black-backed Gull and Northern Pintail. Weather was inhospitable at best, and we felt for the teams who were only out for the day. Still it was a good day.

    Hi John
Where did you get the Pintail?

    • Scott, there were two in the large flock of ducks at the southwest end of the Bashakill. That is where all the ducks seemed to settle yesterday, and that’s where the juvie Great Black-backed Gull was as well. John
