After the storm

There are now two Brant at Swan Lake 11/13/12

Red-throated Loon- extremely uncommon in the county, is now in its fourth day.

The upper half of the county had some snow and rain overnight, continuing through this morning. I had hoped that it would put some birds down, but for the most part it didn’t. The Red-throated Loon continues to be the best bird in the county, now in its fourth day. The Brant that has been at Swan Lake for over two weeks now found itself a companion overnight. A few more Lesser Scaup than have been present were the only new water fowl.
