Much Quieter today

With high winds and temps in the 40’s there wasn’t nearly as much bird action. I decided to head up county to scope for this weekends “Big Day”. The best birding was along Hunter Road in Neversink where I had a couple of dozen Bobolinks and nearly as many Savannah Sparrows all singing and displaying. As I watched under a darkend sky, a Barred Owl called from the hillside. Otherwise a few Common Loons and Double-crested Cormorants were about it on such a windy day.
