Bashakill Sunday 4/29

Male Yellow Warbler - Nature Trail Bashakill 4/29/12

Male American Redstart - South Road Bashakill 4/29/12

Arlene Borko, Scott Baldinger and I birded the Bashakill this morning hoping for a repeat of yesterdays good luck. It wasn’t as birdy today, many of the birds seen having moved on overnight. We did manage six species of Warblers and two Vireos. FOS Common Yellowthroat and Ovenbird were the highlights. This brings to 13 the number of warblers seen so far this spring. With the winds due to change in the next couple of days, I’m hoping for a real explosion of birds this week. I’ve attached a couple of photos of some of the new warblers from this weekend.
