Sullivan County Waterfowl FALLOUT!

This morning Lance Verderame alerted several of us that he was out early and there had been a major fallout of waterfowl during the storm overnight. He had visited several sites, finding an abundance of birds. I picked up Arlene Borko and began to make the rounds. We ran into Scott Baldinger who was out as well. Here is a total of the birds seen at the following sites. Yankee Lake, Kiamesha Lake, Neversink Reservoir, Morningside Park, Kauneonga Lake, White Lake, Lake Superior and Wolf Lake:

Canada Geese

Long-tailed Duck – 61
Ring-necked Duck – 52
Lesser Scaup – 21
Horned Grebe – 18
Black Duck – 10
Common Merganser – 8
