Sullivan County Birding – Great day!

This morning, Arlene Borko and I worked all the birding hotspots around the county. We had a great day. We covered Yankee Lake, Kiamesha Lake, Wanasink Lake, Morningside Park, Neversink Reservoir, Rondout Reservoir and Swan Lake, Bashakill and Hilldale Pond. Here is a list of what we saw:
Brant – 5 NR
Canada Geese
Wood Duck – HP
Gadwall – 3 SL
American Wigeon – 4 YL and SL
Black Duck
Mallard
Northern Pintail – 3 HP
Green-winged Teal – 4 SL
Ring-necked Duck – SL and Bash
White-winged Scoter – 5 YL
Common Mergansers – 14 SL
Ruddy Duck – 35 few most spots
Common Loon – 4 RR and 1 KL
Horned Grebe – 6 NR
Pied-billed Grebe – 1 KL
Killdeer – 2 AP, 1 RR
Dunlin – 28 MP, 5 RR, 1 NR the most Dunlin I have ever had in the county
Greater Yellowlegs – 1 RR
